We collect: your name and email address on registration; property and tenant data you enter; payment records you log; documents you upload; and usage data (pages visited, feature usage) to improve the product.

3. How we use it

Your data is used solely to provide the Stem service. We do not sell your data to third parties. Tenant data you enter is your data - we process it on your behalf as a data processor under UK GDPR.

4. Data security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Your tenant data is isolated from other operators at the database level using row-level security. Backups are encrypted.

5. Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. On account deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days. Payment records may be retained for legal compliance purposes.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us at hello@stemhq.co.uk to exercise these rights.

7. Cookies

We use only a session cookie to keep you logged in. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
